This page explains, in plain English, what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers vasudevbajpai.com, run by Vasudev Bajpai from Lucknow, India. I offer individual sessions (40 minutes) and couples sessions (1 hour), online and in person in Lucknow.
What I collect
I only collect what you choose to send me through the two forms on this site:
- Booking form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), preferred date and time, whether you want an individual or couples session, online or in person, and an optional one-line note about what brings you here.
- Contact form: your name, email address and your message.
- Newsletter tick-box (both forms): it is unticked unless you tick it. If you tick it, I may email you occasional new writing. You can ask me to stop at any time.
- Newsletter signup box (on the blog and on posts): your email address and, if you choose, your name, used only to send you occasional new writing, which you can stop at any time by replying to any of those emails; they are kept in this website’s records and, like everything else here, deleted when you ask, with a reply to any request within 30 days.
I don’t take card or bank details on this website. Payment details are shared with you by email once a session is confirmed.
How I use it
I use your details only to arrange and confirm your sessions, to reply to your messages and, if you ticked the box, to send occasional new writing. That’s it. I don’t sell, rent or trade your information, and I don’t use it for advertising.
Where it goes
When you submit a form, your details are emailed to me at vasu.brainy@gmail.com (a Google Gmail account). The website itself doesn’t keep a separate database of form submissions. The site is hosted by Hostinger, and emails pass through their servers and Google’s on the way to me.
What we talk about in sessions
What you share in a session stays between us. I don’t record sessions, and I don’t share anything you tell me with anyone else without your permission, except where the law requires it or where there is a serious and immediate risk to your safety or someone else’s.
Cookies and analytics
Like most websites, this site uses a small number of cookies. WordPress (the software the site runs on) sets cookies needed for the site to work, and the site’s security and caching tools may set technical cookies too. The site also uses Google Site Kit, which can connect Google tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console. These may set cookies and collect general, non-identifying information like which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are and what device they use. I use this only to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
How long I keep it
I keep booking and contact emails only for as long as I need them to arrange sessions, reply to you and keep basic records of sessions that took place. Enquiries that don’t lead to a session are deleted within 12 months of our last contact. If you ask me to delete your information, I will, unless the law requires me to keep part of it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me at any time to see the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you newsletter emails. Just email vasu.brainy@gmail.com and I’ll reply within 30 days.
I handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. In general terms, that means I collect only what is needed, use it only for the purpose you gave it for, keep it reasonably secure, and respect your rights to access, correct, erase and withdraw consent. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, please contact me first. You can also raise a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
Age
Sessions are for adults. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through this site.
